Fathom Events, LAIKA, And Park Circus Present the Oscar®-Nominated “Coraline,” Returning to Theaters Monday, August 14 & Tuesday, August 15

DENVER (29 June 2023) – Fathom EventsLAIKA, and Park Circus proudly present the acclaimed 2009 stop-motion epic “Coraline”—returning to theaters nationwide on Monday, August 14 at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm local time, and Tuesday, August 15 at 7:00 pm local time.

In addition to the film, audiences will be treated to new and never-before-seen footage from the LAIKA Archives. Join key members of LAIKA’s creative filmmaking team for an up-close and personal return to the worlds of Coraline, explored through unique behind-the-scenes stories, key artifacts, puppets, and costumes from the groundbreaking, stop-motion animated film, “Coraline”.

Coraline” boasts stunning stop-motion animation, handcrafted puppets, and meticulously-designed sets—freshly re-colored and remastered for 2023. Based on the novel by beloved author Neil Gaiman, “Coraline” is a wondrous, thrilling, fun and suspenseful adventure. A young girl walks through a secret door in her new home and discovers an alternate version of her life. On the surface, this parallel reality is eerily similar to her real life – only much better. But when this wondrously off-kilter, fantastical adventure turns dangerous and her counterfeit parents try to keep her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to save her family and get back home.

Written and directed by stop-motion auteur Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before ChristmasJames and the Giant Peach), “Coraline” stars Dakota FanningIan McShaneTeri HatcherKeith David, and British comedy duo Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders, with animation by the award-winning studio, LAIKA (ParaNormanThe Boxtrolls).
