A second-year student who goes to Tsukishima General High School. Tai is in the same class as Sora Takenouchi and served as the leader of the DigiDestined during the adventure into the Digital World six years ago. His strong sense of justice and his straightforward earnest side haven't changed but lately he's also been worrying about where he's headed in life.
A second-year student at Tsukishima General High School, enrolled in the class next to Tai's and Sora's class. At a glance he’s calm and collected, but the truth is he's warm-hearted and thoughtful. That straightforwardness sometimes leads to clashing with Tai. Matt's been in a band since junior high, but due to musical differences, Teenage Wolves has temporarily broken up.
A second-year student at Tsukishima General High School, and a childhood friend of Tai. She has a lively, open-hearted personality, but she also possesses the kindness and sensitivity to be considerate of others, as well as a strong sense of responsibility. Sora is something of a "big sister" that keeps the peace within the group, especially between the occasional clashes between Tai and Matt.
A first-year student, Izzy is an intellectual and a theorist, and knows a lot about computers and the internet. He excels at analysis, and at grasping situations. He has an active side, as seen in how he communicates online with DigiDestined all over the world, but he also has a tendency to get wrapped up in gathering knowledge and information, making him lose sight of his surroundings.
Mimi has a cheerful, innocent personality, does things at her own pace and can be selfish, but she's fundamentally a kind girl whom everyone likes. Mimi was living in America because of her parents' jobs, but now she's returned to Japan. Living abroad for a long time has taken the edge off her naive nature.
Joe has a steady, serious personality. As a third-year student who goes to a college prep high school in the Tokyo Metropolitan area, he's studying to get into medical school. Joe's getting ready for college entrance exams and also attending cram school as he studies hard, but his grades aren't improving the way he'd like, and it's starting to worry him.
A second-year student who goes to Odaiba Junior High School. He lives apart from his older brother Matt due to their parents' divorce, but they get along well with each other, and they frequently keep in touch. Like Izzy, TK keeps in touch with DigiDestined around the world by way of blogs.
Tai's sister, a second-year student who goes to Odaiba Junior High School. She has a kind personality and is consistently worried about her big brother Tai, but she's also known to be strong to the core. Kari developed an interest in photograph
A transfer student at Tsukishima General High School. She transfers into the same class as Taichi and Sora.
