Jack Davis is trying to find his way through a critical crossroad of self-doubt as an underachiever in a very accomplished family known mostly for their success in the world of international soccer.
Jack’s older brother Sam, is an all-star goalie for his father’s professional team, a team that Jack was recently cut from thus crushing Jack’s lifetime dream of playing for his father. Since then, Jack has been estranged from his father and family. High Expectations, follows Jack (led by the tough love of ex-girlfriend Sophia Portales) as he overcomes the obstacles to find himself and not give up on himself both on the soccer field and in life.
Jack Davis (Taylor Gray) finds himself adrift after his father, the legendary Coach Davis (Kelsey Grammer), cuts him from his renowned soccer club, the Carolina Mantis. Estranged from his father, at odds with his brother, Mantis All-Star goalie Sam (Adam Aalderks), and desperate for purpose, Jack turns to his ex-girlfriend Sophia (Ally Brooke). Jack is inspired by her tough love and unwavering pursuit to become a recording artist. He tackles his depression and takes one last shot at his lifelong dream, by trying out for a rival soccer club. Can Jack finally prove that he is worthy of his dad's love? Can he forgive and believe in second chances?
