Intermission features such as backstage footage and interviews from the traditional Met: Live in HD events are not included in the Met Summer Encore broadcasts. The encores represent a sampling of opera from previous seasons, to be shown more like a movie and played straight through. The live broadcasts with intermission features will return for the 2010-11 Met: Live in HD season this fall.
